President Roosevelt addresses the crowd and assures them that they will win over problem of drought very soon. He says that plan of cooperation with nature should be worked out. The crowd applauds. The President gives an example of the economic interdependency of the U.S. states, by noting that steel factories in Indiana and other eastern states could not run under full capacity unless the agricultural states bought farm machinery and other equipment from them.

Sioux have three main divisions: The Santee or Dakota who reside to the east of Dakotas, Minnesota and Northern Iowa; The Yankton or Nakota who reside in the Minnesota river area; the Lakota who are the western most Sioux. Chief Iron Whip uses Indian sign language to introduce himself.
