Benito Mussolini visits Adolf Hitler at the Wolf's Lair near Rastenburg, Poland, following his rescue from imprisonment in Italy, during World War II
Benito Mussolini arrives in a German Junkers Ju-52 aircraft, at an airport serving Adolf Hitler's Eastern Front headquarters (Wolf's Lair) near Rastenburg, Poland, a month after being rescued by German commandos from imprisonment in the Campo Imperatore Hotel, high in the Italian Apennine Mountains, during World War 2. He is warmly greeted by Adolf Hitler (who personally ordered the rescue mission). Mussolini's son, Vittorio, also greets him. Hitler escorts Mussolini to a staff car bearing both the Italian and German (Swastika) flags. The car arrives at the Wolf's Lair, and German Foreign Minister Joachim von Ribbentrop greets Mussolini as he steps from the car. Hitler escorts Mussolini into the building. Next, Reichmarshal Hermann Goering is seen pointing out something to Mussolini. Change of scene shows Mussolini in hat and overcoat being escorted by Hitler, out to their waiting staff car. Back at the airport, Mussolini says his goodbyes to German officers and Hitler. He boards the Junkers Ju-52 trimotor aircraft which taxis out as Hitler waves goodbye.

German leader Adolf Hitler stands with members of his staff on a snow covered train station platform in Rastenburg, East Prussia (now Poland) during World War 2. A train arrives, with icicles clinging to its roof. Romanian military officers render traditional hand salutes (not Nazi salutes) from the train as it pulls into the station. Ion Antonescu, salutes with his Marshal's baton and exchanges greeting with Hitler. He is accompanied by Romanian Foreign Minister, Mihai Antonescu. The two exchange salutes and handshakes with members of Hitler's party. (Mihal gives Nazi salute, but Ion does not.) Hitler walks past and exchanges salutes group of Romanians accompanying Antonescu. (Hitler gives his Nazi salute, but the Romanian officers render traditional hand salute to forehead.) Change of scene, shows Nazi Foreign Minister, Joachim von Ribbentrop, escorting Marshal Ion Antonescu and Foreign Minister, Mihai Antonescu, up some stairs to a meeting room.

Film opens showing Adolf Hitler and staff awaiting arrival of a train at the platform of Gorlitz Station, the private station railroad station serving Hitler's East Prussian headquarters (called the Wolf's Lair) near Rastenburg (now Ketrzyn, Poland) . A Steam locomotive pulls a passenger train into station. The Bulgarian regent Prince Kiril steps from the train and greets Hitler. The second regent, Professor Bogdan Filov, gets off the train and shakes hands with Hitler, Generals on Hitler's staff, including Field Marshal Wilhelm Keitel, and German Foreign Minister Joachim Von Ribbentrop. Hitler escorts Prince Kril to a waiting car. Brief glimpse of the Bulgarian flag mounted on side of the car. Next, Hitler escorts Prince Kril from the car into a building at the Wolf's Lair. Members of Hitler's military staff and Professor Filov follow them into the building. Inside, Hitler removes his hat and gives it to an aide. He greets Bulgarian officers and officials. Several closeups of Hitler. Outside a Bulgarian officer chats with Marshal Keitel and another German officer. Hitler and Prince Kril emerge from the building and Hitler bids them farewell. View of the Prince riding away in a car. Next, he arrives and steps from the car at a different location. Closeups of the Prince as he enters the building. Next, he is seen conversing with Von Ribbontrop, and then escorting Prince Kiril and Professor Filov up some stairs to a room with a view. They continue their tour descending some steps into a dining room where a table decorated with flowers is set for a meal.

Adolf Hitler visits German Army officers, who were injured, in the July 20th assassination attempt against him. They are being treated at a military hospital, in Rastenburg, during World War 2. Among the victims he visits are: Major General Walter Scherff; Navy Captain Heinz Assmann; Rear Admiral Karl-Jesco von Puttkamer; and General Walther Buhle. Hitler is seen with a small bandage in his right ear due to a ruptured ear drum from the explosion. He takes time and speaks with each of the wounded officers. As he leaves, women nurses, assembled outside, render Nazi salutes, and cheer him. Change of scene shows Hitler, at the Wolf's Lair compound, near Rastenburg, East Prussia (now Poland). He greets Walther Funk, Reich Minister for Economic Affairs; a local Gauleiter; Reich Minister Albert Speer; a Dr. Sauer; and Reich Minister Hans Heinrich Lammers, President of the Reich Cabinet. Next scene shows Heinrich Himmler, chief of the Nazi Gestapo, speaking with General (Generaloberst) Ferdinand Schörner. Hitler strolls with Hermann Goering, and is then seen, from behind, as he greets Reich Minister of Propaganda, Joseph Goebbels and General (Generaloberst) Heinz Wilhelm Guderian, Chief of Staff of the Army. Beside him is Hermann Fegelein. The Nazi top leaders stand and converse. Goebbels speaks with Martin Bormann and General Alfred Jodl, whose head is bandaged. Hitler pets a dog as they walk. General Franz Halder walks with General William Keitel. Next, Von Ribbentrop and Keitel are both seen escorting General Oshima Hiroshi, envoy from Japan, and an aide. Behind them is Walter Hewel of the Foreign Ministry, and Admiral Hans-Georg von Friedeburg, in a white jacket. The group enters a Wolf's Lair building. Scene shifts to outdoors, where high ranking German officers enjoy themselves, with introductions and salutes, and converse, and joke with one another. Next, Hermann Goering is seen walking with Walter Hewel. Scene changes showing Goering, with several other German officials, in wooded area with flowering trees in background. Camera zooms in showing Admiral Theodor Burchardi, who renders a traditional military salute to Goering. German officers huddle, with Goering looking on, over a map. Goering and Admiral Karl Dönitz are the seen conversing as they walk. The next scene is a view from inside a Wolf's Lair building , as Hermann Goering leads a large group of German officers. He steps up the entrance to the building. Change of scene shows Adolf Hitler saying goodbyes and shaking hands with the visiting officers.
