The congress' president,Fredric Joliet-Curie opens the ceremony and delegates rise from their seats to clap. In his speech he appeals for a world organization to control atom bomb. Another Italian representative Pietro Nenni in his speech criticizes the Atlantic pact and American action in Korea.
