Loading and firing of Falcon air to air missiles from a U.S. Air Force F-102A Delta Dagger interceptor aircraft. Several men load Falcon missiles into an F-102A at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico. Three contractor representatives going over graphs and charts in a conference room. The representatives going up steps of the Convair General Office Building at San Diego, California. Two Convair technicians check electrical connections and firing circuit of a Falcon missile on flight line at Holloman AFB. They load a Falcon onto launcher of a F-102A and insert the ignitor into the motor. The rockets are drawn into the aircraft and the bay doors closed. The F-102A taxis on flight line and takes off. F-102Ain flight, bomb bay doors open. The Falcon missiles are extended and fired in two salvos of three each. F-102A flying to the right.

A U.S. Air Force F-106B Tandem Trainer mockup at the Convair Fort Worth Facility in Texas. The F-106B Tandem Trainer inside a hangar. Two pilots on a maintenance stand next to the F-106B mockup. One opens the canopy and both men climb-into aircraft. The maintenance stand is removed. Both pilots check over the instruments and manipulate the controls. The mockup is equipped with the side-stick configuration in both cockpits. Revised mockup configuration equipped with center-stick type controls. The accessibility of control switches and the side-stick configuration in the standard F-106P Tandem Trainer mockup. The horizontal position indicator mounted on the lower portion of the instrument panel, directly in front of the pilot. One of the pilots in the mockup manipulating the throttle mounted on the left side of the cockpit. A pilots looks into the radarscope hood. The pilot in the front cockpit manipulating the canopy control lever. Both pilots seated in the mockup trainer, canopy closing. Closed armament bay doors on the mockup. MB-1 rocket extended from the rocket bay of the mockup. Two pilots seated in the mockup. A technician uses a switch on the nose of the mockup to close the canopy.

U.S. Air Force F-102A Delta Dagger external wing tank vibration tests at Edwards Air Force Base in California.

U.S. Air Force F-102A Delta Dagger external wing tank vibration tests at Edwards Air Force Base in California. Several men take an external wing tank from the back of a pickup truck and carry it inside of a hangar. An F-102A with its landing gear mounted on spring-supported platforms inside a hangar. Technicians install accelerometers mounted on wooden blocks. The aircraft equipped with external wing fuel tanks undergoes vibration tests. Electro-magnetic shakers are attached to the wing tips of the aircraft with the vibration visible on the nose of the fuel tank during low-frequence oscillation. Three engineers check oscillograph recordings made during the vibration tests. The F-102A, equipped with two external wing tanks painted black and white, in flight. External fuel tank under the left wing. The aircraft flying to the left, jettisons external fuel tank visible beneath the wings of the aircraft. Two technicians install a shaker underneath the wing of an F-102A. A F-102A taking off. F-84F chase plane and F-102A flying to the right. F-102A rolling down the runway after touchdown, nose gear touches down.

MB-1 rocket rail-launched from a U.S. Air Force F-102A Delta Dagger at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico. Footage taken from GSAP (Gun Sight Aiming Point) camera mounted under right wing of F- 102 in flight. MB-1 rocket fired from rail launcher. Technicians work on F-102A parked outside a hangar. Two technicians wheel an MB-1 rocket on a dolly, underneath F- 102A parked on ramp. Three technicians check out and calibrate special instrumentation to be used during the test run. The instruments include different types of oscillographs, and photo panels. Special camera installations made on the F-102A vertical stabilizer, fuselage, and wings. Technician installs a l6mm camera inside the aircraft nose, then closes access panel. F-102A takes off. Radar vectoring station T-1 at Holloman AFB. Technician operates one of the tracking scanners installed on roof of building. Two men, inside the vectoring station, control the course of the test aircraft by radio communication from the vectoring machine plotting charts. The pilot in F-102A cockpit as he turns on the recording cameras to activate the armament system. MB-1 bomb extended below the aircraft. Engineer talks on the radio phone inside the vectoring station. Pilot's hand on the control stick as he activates the firing switch. MB-l rocket is fired from the short rail launcher. The aircraft is enveloped in a trail of white smoke. GSAP camera mounted underneath the right wing of the F-102A, shows the MB-l rocket being fired from the short rail launcher.
