Others rotate a propeller showing the movement of the airplane's rotary engine as its cylinders move with the propeller. British Royal Navy Guard of Honor band in white helmets plays as Commander Haig and Commander Keyes pass by the assembled forces. Civilians are lined up behind the military forces to welcome home Field Marshal Haig.
A huge crowd in Piccadilly Circus, London assembled at night to celebrate the V-E Day. People celebrate the victory of Allied Forces over Germany in World War II. American soldiers and British civilians drink from bottle and dance on streets. signs on a building read: "Buy Savings Stamps"and "Support yir Savings Group." Allied servicemen and British civilian women dance in a circle. After dark near end of film, some celebrants set a bonfire.
A sports meet organized with various athletic events underway, in Great Britain. Oxford University vs. Cambridge University racing shells event on the River Thames. Oarsmen row and shells move speedily forward on the Thames. Spectators watch the event standing along the banks of the river. People in steam boats watch the race closely. Oarsmen carry their shells out of water and walk as race finishes. Spectators watch.
Five times middle weight champion Sugar Ray Robinson fights Terry Gownes at a boxing match, London. Spectators watch the boxers delivering punches to each other. Women cheer for their player. Support staff of Gownes rush inside the ring after the referee declares him the winner. Crowd applauds the Old Master Robinson.
