Army Air Force Major Samuel Grashio speaks prior to an air show in Spokane, Washington, during World War 2. He is from Spokane, a survivor of the Bataan Death March, and had successfully escaped from a Japanese prison camp. The Major begins to describe his experiences during the fall of Corregidor and Bataan, during the Japanese invasion at the start of World War II in the Pacific. Unfortunately, the sound stops (purposely ?) as he gets into the details of his story.

Pilot Pilcher and Radar Observer Begay meet-up together with other personnel on the airfield and observe the blazing aircraft from which they had ejected. They walk around a military station wagon. Carrier crewmen donate blood to a blood bank in San Francisco, California. USS Boxer (CV-21) aircraft carrier is anchored in San Francisco. A mobile bank and nurses standing at the harbor. Crewmen of USS Boxer donate blood to the mobile bank for the comrades in Korea. They have just returned from Korea. Nurses take blood for the blood bank from a donor. Bottles are being put on a rack in the blood bank.
Army troops are welcomed in Seattle, Washington as they return from the Korean War. GIs return to Seattle after rugged services on the Korean Front. GIs and troops aboard USS General LeRoy Eltinge at sea. The army transport USS General LeRoy Eltinge (AP-154) arrives at a harbor and gets a harbor welcome. An officer waves at civilians. Women standing with bouquets wave at the GIs. The GIs disembark from the ship and are greeted by their families and wives. A convoy of trucks loaded with GIs pass through the streets of the city. The citizens of Seattle standing on both the sides of the road welcome the GIs. People welcome them by giving them flowers.
