U.S. Navy West Point Class Troop Transport (AP-23) (Formerly the ocean liner, SS America ) backs out of Pier 61, in New York City, with help of tug boats. The ship carries deported German and Italian Consular officials to Lisbon, including A.V.Yannelli, Italian General at Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
