In 1826 on the 50th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence they both died. He appeals to people to stand together and says that we shall not repeat the mistakes made in the past. People applaud. He says that Americans must simplify our tax system, make it more fair and bring rates down for all who work and earn. He emphasizes the need to take further steps to permanently control Government's power to tax and spend, returning responsibilities to the people, state and local governments, reducing dependency and upgrade the dignity of those who are infirm or disadvantaged.
