Historic early aviation and flight, and man's quest for flight: A man tries to glide with ornithopter type wings attached to his arms and back. He runs and is also helped by several men who pull on a rope attached to him. He falls and his aircraft wings collapse.
Model airplane builders and enthusiasts walk together carrying their respective model airplanes, in a gathering on an airfield. Some of the model airplanes have Academy of Model Aeronautics numbers painted on their wings, such as, AMA-6744, which can be seen on one. A large tent is seen in the background, as well as automobiles, a fuel truck, and airplanes, in the distance.
Jersey Ringel, aerial wing-walker and acrobat, stands on wing of a Curtis JN-4 airplane and then jumps to the wing of another, while inflight. He swings from a ring under the wing of the second JN-4. His name: "Jersey" Ringel, is displayed on fuselage of the airplane.
Prototype (XF2D-1) of the U.S. Navy F2H McDonnell Banshee jet fighter plane during an introductory flight over Missouri in January, 1947. The aircraft carries the name Banshee on its forward fuselage, and identification number, etc. on its empennage.
