Integrated high school classroom in the United States during time of civil rights unrest and widespread racial segregation. African American girls and boys seated in class room with white students. A black teacher takes attendance. Examples of Jim Crow laws being retired and ended, as well as some Jim Crow laws still in place. Following integration, Jim Crow law signs that have been taken down are seen in a trash basket. Some of the discarded signs read 'White Women" and "White Men'. Other Jim Crow signs still in place on commercial establishments are seen, including some that read "Colored" and "White Only" showing continued segregation practices.
