She lifts her baby from a pram in front of her house. She displays her husband's burned shoe and flight gear. She then reads formal letters about award of the Victoria Cross. Her husband pilot is seen with two other RAF fliers relaxing amongst other service personnel at a medical recuperation facility. They sit at a small table and smoke cigarettes. (World War II period).
