Henry Kaiser assembles a scale model of a liberty ship. Workers at Kaiser Shipyards. Prefabricated parts of ships moved into place during assembly. The Robert E. Peary is launched on November 12, 1942 only 4 days after its keel was placed. Women riveting sheet metal on aircraft in factories. Technicians work on aircraft parts in assembly line. Airplanes seen in assembly area include the B-17 Flying Fortress, the P-51 Mustang, and the PBY Catalina flying boat with gun turret. Engines and wing assembly of B-17 is moved into place.
