British and Polish officers stand in the middle of a cobblestone street in Archangel (Arkhangelsk) Russia, with four Polish officers, during the Allied North Russia Intervention in World War 1. The Allied officers are preparing to decorate the four Polish officers. A young boy in military uniform, holding a rifle at order arms position, stands next to one of the medal recipients. A formation of Polish troops stands at attention, presenting arms, on the sidelines. The ranking British officer pins medals on the four Polish officers and shakes hands with the boy, who executes a rifle salute at order arms. After another British officer in a beret, makes a presentation, the camera records a Polish military band taking position and a parade of Polish troops commencing. Several small children run after the band. Spectators are grouped near the Allied officers, who salute from the sidewalk, as the parade passes. (World War I; World War 1; WWI; WW1)
