U.S. President and Mrs. Pat Nixon and daughter Patricia visit the Cape Kennedy Space Center in Florida, to witness the launch of Apollo 12. Presidential helicopter descends and lands at the Space Center. President and Mrs. Nixon shake hands and speak with enthusiastic spectators as they make their way from the helicopter, along a path marked by ropes. A light rain is falling. Large welcoming crowd near the parked helicopter take photos, standing in rain. Secret servicemen walk ahead of the Nixons. Onlookers huddle under umbrellas and other protection. Cameramen protect their equipment. The President ignores the rain as he mingles with the folks along the pathway. The Nixons are escorted to a place in the viewing stands where they stand up, along with the crowd of spectators to watch the launch of the Apollo 12 moon mission.
