The Aleutian Islands Campaign of World War II. On a Sunday morning soldiers offer religious offerings in a gathering on Adak Island in the Aleutian Islands, Alaska. Bombs are brought to a field in camouflaged decks. Bombs being loaded in U.S. Army Air Forces B-25 Mitchell bombers. Machine guns of the aircraft are loaded with ammunition. A truck carries a bomb on an air base. The pilots who are going to fly for the mission receive final instructions. Crew begins to assemble as the pilots arrive at the air base. The pilots get ready. The pilots in the mission include Lieutenant George I. Rudell, Lieutenant Holy P. Mail, Lieutenant Lial A. Bean, Major Willson Aston, Lieutenant Henry J. Strencops and Colonel Jackson.
