Americans who fought with Loyalist troops in Spain during Spanish Civil War, against General Franco's Nationalist Insurgents (Abraham Lincoln Brigade), are hailed in New York. They are welcomed by huge crowds as they arrive on the SS Paris. Men smoke cigarettes and pipes aboard the ship as it enters New York. Mounted policemen keep a vigil and control the crowd. Large crowds gathered on the streets. The returning men march through the city streets in a reception parade. People join them and parade with banners and posters. A poster reads 'American Youth Welcome Veterans of Linoln Brigade'.
