U.S. 760th Tank Battalion attacking targets in vicinity of Ausente Valley in Italy during Allied assault against the German Gustav line in World War Two. Explosions and smoke are visible as guns fire at group of buildings across the valley. The buildings are subject to very heavy barrage at times. Later, explosions occur on lower ground as gunfire strikes various spots in the valley itself. At one point, two tanks are barely visible in a clump of trees overlooking the valley. But no other armor or infantry is seen. (Most of the scenes are photographed a great distance from the action.)
