Adolf Hitler's first speech as Germany's Chancellor, given at the Sports Palace (Sportspalast) in Berlin, Germany. A large banner is hung across the hall behind the speaker's stand, reading: "Mecht Deutschland vom Marxismus Frei" (Make Germany free from Marxism). Hitler, in khaki uniform, makes his way to the podium through cadre of uniformed Stormtroopers who act as an honor guard. A crowd applauds and many give the Nazi salute to Hitler as he speaks.
