With duffel bags and gear on their backs, the troops march and pass in review of General Maxwell Taylor and Major General Charles Cannon. A band plays. View of the U.S. Navy transport ship USS General M. B. Stewart (AP-140) as soldiers begin to board. A banner reads: '3rd Infantry Division Rock of the Marne'. Audie Murphy stands at a microphone to welcome the troops. People gather in New Orleans, Louisiana to greet the soldiers. A motorcade passes on a street.
