Elements of the Red Army conduct field maneuvers in the Soviet Union. A soviet soldier prepares a message and fastens it to the collar on a dog. He then sends the dog to deliver it. Camera follows the dog as it crosses a wide field and then enters shrubbery where another Soviet soldier is concealed. He opens the message which the camera shows, containing tactical information.
