A dramatization shows the survival of a downed U.S. pilot in a Vietnamese jungle during the Vietnam War. Heavy monsoon rain falling in the jungle. The pilot uses large leaves as a poncho. He picks up a folded leaf that has rain in it and takes a drink of water. He pours some water on his face. The pilot then wipes his face. The pilot in dense undergrowth cutting and moving several of very large leaves in the area. Mud on the face of the pilot to keep away mosquitoes and other insects. He removes his boots. The pilot prepares to go to bed for the night. He wraps the bark from a tree around his wounded leg and secures it to avoid infection.
