Film begins showing a British Spitfire aircraft in flight overhead, viewed from a warship. Next the British aircraft carrier, HMS Formidable (67) is seen and an Atlanta class light cruiser nearby. A Corsair fighter plane circles the carrier and lands on it. It is followed by another that executes a missed approach, goes around and returns again to land. Two battleships are seen and then other warships and the carrier in the distance. A light cruiser is viewed from a following ship having twin guns in a forward turret. Several warships silhouetted against the sky in the distance. Near land, barrage balloons are seen in the sky. Several transport ships in the distance with barrage balloons above them. Ships headed toward a port with a city behind it.

North African campaign in World War 2. Film begins with antiaircraft fire from an Allied ship, at dusk, directed at German bombers (unseen). Next, flames are seen and smoke rising from an Allied ship that has been struck by a bomb. A Destroyer Escort nearby and a small vessel in background, both send morse code messages by signal lamps. The camera boat moves around to port, astern,the striken ship, where the fire is concentrated, and moves closer as smoke obscures the stricken ship entirely. In next sequence, smoke is seen rising from two smaller ships that have also been hit.
