Honor guards of uniformed policemen take their places on both sides of King Faisal Street, in front of Al Husseini Mosque (K. Talal St. 1, Amman, Jordan), as officials begin to arrive for Friday prayers. Prime Minister Ibrahim Pasha Ashim and Minister of National Education Sheikh Fihmi (in white turban) arrive in chauffeured car. An open truck with a machine gunner in back and several mounted lancers lead a 1942 Buick sedan carrying Emir Abdulla ibn El-Hussein. The police honor guard salute by presenting arms. Inside the Mosque courtyard, worshipers wash themselves before entering for prayers. Worshipers are seen inside the Mosque and outside, prostrating themselves in prayer. The Emir embraces ministers as he leaves and enters his car to drive away.
