Bruce Carr who had taken it from a German airfield near Linz, Austria. American pilot Bruce Carr is seen beside the damaged aircraft talking with fellow airmen who have gathered. He is seen shrugging his shoulders. View shifts to another FW-190 taxiing. In the cockpit is 1st Lt. Fred Fehsenfeld of the 353rd FS. He taxis on the airstrip and parks the aircraft. U.S. airmen crowd around the airplane as Fehsenfeld climbs out of the cockpit, onto the wing. American airmen examine several German FW-190 fighter airplanes, reviewing the aircraft in detail. They are seen looking in cockpits, examining pitot tube, looking at damaged tail wheel, and trying to turn the propeller of one. A U.S. P-47 fighter airplane lands at the airfield. Then in a later shot, explosion is seen as the Nazi Swastika symbol is destroyed (blown-up) by American troops at the Zeppelinfeld stadium in Nuremberg, Germany.

Flash forward to the final phases of the Soviet offensive against Berlin, Germany during World War 2. Soviet soldier picks up an artillery shell and hands it to member of a gun crew who loads it into the breech of a harge gun. Another Soviet gun being loaded. Soviet artillery pieces of all sizes and kinds are seen firing into Berlin, creating explosions and smoke and demolishing buildings. A civilian man and woman run along a street carrying their belongings in a baby carriage. Other German civilian refugees fleeing the battle zones. Three Soviet officers confer looking at a map.
