Festivities accompanying the arrival of the captured German submarine U-505 in Chicago. Scenes of the U-505 with U.S. and German flags. Crowds line the waterfront. Fireboats discharge large plumes of water in salute. Small boats, carry officials and guests from a navy ship to the U-505, where they board and ride into the harbor. After docking, Admiral Gallery and Chicago Mayor Kennelly, are seen talking. Admiral Gallery gives a short speech from a podium.
