Naples, Italy: Thousands of colonists, comprising 1800 families, are brought from farms to colonize the Italian possession of Libya in North Africa. They board the steamship, SS Piemonte,for voyage to Libya. Family groups are seen moving across the pier and boarding the ship. Passengers wave from the ship and well-wishers wave from the shore as the ship leaves the pier. View of the ship's captain on the bridge. A warship in the harbor fires a gun in salute. Italian dictator, Benito Mussolini, in military uniform, stands on the pier and bids the colonists farewell. Several ships bearing colonists are seen underway, leaving Naples.
