Newsreel 'French Statesmen heavily guarded on first official visit, Berlin Germany.'
Friendly crowd standing on either side of the roads as French Statesmen Premier Pierre Laval and Foreign Minister Aristide Briand come for an official visit to Berlin Germany, to discuss economic relations between France and Germany. The French Statesmen are heavily guarded by Police. The throngs are held back by ropes.
Winner, M. Hediart, takes a basket of vegetables and meat , in lieu of trophy, for winning ten mile race in Paris
The annual 10mile marathon race begins at Montmartre. Participants run through narrow streets and up steep stairs. Runners are seen crossing road. Finishing point is the top of the steep stairs leading to Sacre Coeur Cathedral. M. Hediart first reaches the finishing point. He accepts a basket full of vegetables and meat, in lieu of a trophy, from the organizers on winning the race.
