Soldiers of the 33rd Infantry Division, American Expeditionary Forces (AEF) arrive by a ferry boat, named Catshill, at port of embarkation, Hoboken, New Jersey in World War 1. They march from the ship in two lines, with full battle gear and shouldering their arms. Sailors hand out chits to the soldiers, as they enter the building. Red Cross women volunteers hand out donuts and fill soldiers' mess kit cups with coffee.
