Film opens showing the flying buttresses on Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem, Palestine. Scene shifts to merchants moving large bales of goods from a street into a building. Another merchant place a cargo of rugs on the back of his camel. He then feeds his kneeling camel from a bag while he adjusts and ties down his cargo. A donkey carrying large metal storage chests passes him. He completes tying down his load of rugs while his camel happily continues eating. People gather outside where merchants are offering fresh oranges from Jaffa. Customers select oranges from a large barrel and place them in small box.
