Film begins showing an American Navy Lieutenant reading from a document as a Navy Commander stands nearby. They are addressing officers and crew on a U.S. submarine being transferred to the British Navy. A large audience of sailors stand on a pier across the water in the background. A British sailor is silhouetted as he salutes from the deck of the boat.
