Opening scenes show German young men and boys of the Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD or Reich Labour Service) forming up into units at a camp in Serbia, marching with shovels, and digging a drainage area during World War 2. Next scenes show Hitler Youth gathering in Breslau, lower Silesia, and participating in a summer athletic meet.
