Eleanor Butler Roosevelt, (wife of Theodore, "Teddy" Roosevelt Jr.) at Romagne in France during World War I. She is seen stepping from an army vehicle and being escorted to the front of a bombed out building. Posing for a picture in rubble with the destroyed building behind them are Lieutenant Colonel George C. Marshall, with a cigarette, standing next to Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Roosevelt, Jr. (with cane). His wife, Eleanor, stands to their right, dressed in a YMCA uniform (that she designed). YMCA emblem is displayed on her hat. Brigadier General Francis C. Marshall, Commander, 2nd Infantry Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, stands to her right. Next is a closeup of Colonel Roosevelt and Eleanor conversing. The group descends from the rubble heap and the scene shifts to horses pulling caissons up close to a building where American troops have assembled.
