Russian reinforcements arrive in the Romanian Province of Dobrudja to help hold off German troops advancing under command of Marshal August von Mackensen, during World war 1. The Russian troops are seen at an established camp in a forest. They have erected shelters and smoke can be seen rising from a stovepipe in one. Several Russian soldiers cut tree limbs and set up camouflaged defensive positions, under the direction of an officer. A Russian infantryman hiding in brush, loads a clip of ammunition in his rifle.
