Nixon stands with President of South Vietnam Ngo Dinh Diem. Vice-President Nixon makes a brief statement into the microphone. He is followed by Colonel Nguyen Van Y, who also makes brief remarks. President Diem and Vice-President Nixon stand together and are joined by U.S. Ambassador Fritz Nolting. Crowd applauds and photographers take pictures from steps of the building.
