Modern oxygen blast furnace under construction in Tula, Russia, Soviet Union

Towers and complex piping and structures rise high above the ground as part of the new concentrated oxygen blast furnace being constructed at a steel plant in Tula Russia,Soviet Union. A prefabricated part is lowered into place by cable from a crane. A train of open rail cars moves through the factory yard.
