Automobile Club of America parade in Manhattan, New York
The first annual automobile parade by the Automobile Club of America in Manhattan, New York City. Madison Square Garden is seen in the background. At least ten different types of cars, including electric and steam powered ones drive by. Some bicycles ride near the automobiles. Police officers walk nearby. A carriage pulled by a white horse is driven past the camera, and a horse-drawn hansom cab is seen waiting for the parade to pass.
A pair of clerks neglects work to eavesdrop on their boss’ affair
Dramatized scenes: A pair of clerks play a game of cards in a broker’s office. Their boss, a broker, arrives in the office. The cards are thrown down in great haste and the clerks quickly pretend to be engaged in their work. Their boss looks over the mail and sits behind an adjacent screen to read the newspaper. A lady enters the office to speak with the boss. One of the clerks shows the lady the way to the broker. The broker and the lady flirt with one another and they began to make out. One of the clerks discovers the scene and calls the attention of his co-worker. The two clerks eavesdrop on the couple until one of the chairs is suddenly tipped over by the office boy and the clerks and screen fall upon the unsuspecting broker. The broker angrily throws off his coat and proceeds to clear out the office. One of the clerks becomes frightened and jumps through the window into the corridor while the other is unceremoniously fired through the door.
A magician performs magic tricks onstage
A magician comes on stage at a theater. He bows in front of the camera, removes his coat and hat. The magician folds his coat, causing it to disappear into thin air. The magician performs a second trick- he takes a white handkerchief from his pocket, holds the handkerchief over his knees. A pile of tissue paper suddenly appears on top of a chair. The magician takes up the tissue paper and shakes it a few times and three live geese fly out upon the floor. The magician pulls out a black cloth over a basin. Live small animals, geese, and a child appear in the basin.
