World War I United States arms factory
A U.S. arms manufacturing in World War 1. Hundreds of war production workers seen at shift change, waiting for their respective trolley cars passing on tracks between arms manufacturing plant's buildings. Women at work on metal working machines in an arms factory. Racks of Browning Automatic Rifles (Rifle, Caliber .30, Automatic, Browning, M1918) are being moved about. Assemblers are seen hand fitting parts for the Browning M1917 water cooled machine gun. One man makes final assembly adjustments to one of the machine guns set up on tripod in the factory. He enjoys firing the Browning M1917 machine gun. (Note:The M1917 and M1918 BAR were manufactured by numerous American arms makers. Colt, Remington, Marlin, Royal typewriter, Winchester. Most of the M1917 machine guns were manufactured by New England Westinghouse.)

Crowd celebrating Armistice Day, November 11, 1918, in New York City. Many wave American flags. Dense crowd traps several vehicles. Different sequence shows the U.S. State funeral procession for the American Unknown Soldier of World War I, on November 21, 1921. Teams of white horses pull artillery caissons. Team of dark horses pull caisson bearing the coffin of the Unknown Soldier. It is covered with bunting and dark wreath. General of the Armies, John J. Pershing leads the Military officers who accompany the coffin. Following them is seen a large group of civilian officials, all in top hats.
Women run a food kitchen in Britain, during World War I
A Group of women pose, holding trays and dishes, next to a slate chalk board, containing a menu and pricing for food items on Friday, May 17th, 1918. The items are priced in British pennies. In a change of scene, women customers are seen leaving the building with food purchases.(one has a small dog on a leash.) Several stand and chat while they sip cups of tea. Back inside the building, three women smile as they hold food and empty dishes.
U.S. Army airmen install machine guns for testing in a De Havilland DH-4 aircraft during World War I
American Army airmen are seen working on an American-built De Havilland DH-4 aircraft ("Liberty Plane") in a hangar, during World War 1. One airman picks up a Marlin M1918 machine gun from the ground and holds it up for the camera to photograph from various angles. He then hands the gun to two other airmen in the DH-4 cockpit, who install it next to one already in place. The scene also clearly shows the American 400 HP V-12 Liberty engine installed in the plane (cover has been removed). Next, an airman is seen in the observer (gunner) position in the rear of the airplane. He is installing a Lewis machine gun in the Scarff ring of the plane. He checks the ability of the gun to vary its elevation in the Scarff ring.

Neibaur: A dramatization about the courage displayed by Private Thomas C Neibaur during a German counter attack near Landreset-St Georges, France in World War I on October 16, 1918, for which Neibaur won the Medal of Honor. Explosions occur at the war front and American soldiers in trenches. Artillery fired and dead lay in the field. German forces launch a counter attack. American soldiers get out of trenches and move across the field. Private Neibour under fire from a German machine gun. dead soldiers. Neibaur hit by a bullet, he crawls across, gets a pistol and captures 11 German soldiers. Prisoners move across the field with their hands up as Neibaur crawls behind them. Private Neibaur and prisoners in a ditch as Neibaur smokes a cigarette.

Lieutenant Hunter J Wickersham of 353rd Infantry, 89th division leading his platoon even after getting serious injuries in Limey, France during World War I on September 12th, 1918. It urges people to contribute towards Liberty Loans. Two soldiers eat and talk in a trench. Germans fire artillery and explosions occur. American soldiers in trenches as shells burst. Lieutenant Hunter J Wickersham advances with his platoon. Men crawl to advance. Lieutenant Wickersham and his orderly get serious injuries due to bursting of a shell. He binds up orderly's wounds and get out of the hole and lead his men forward. Shells continue to burst and Lieutenant Wickersham dies in an explosion. Dead soldiers. A soldier removes a cross from a dead German soldier's uniform.
