Army Service Corps soldiers play games during military tournaments in Woolwich. The tournament is held to raise funds for Blue and Red Cross in World War I. In one game ( "horse and rider") a man, carried on shoulders of his teammate, tries to unseat an opponent carried by another. Both "rider" opponents use poles padded with boxing gloves. Another soldier exhibits card tricks at a table. A large crowd gathers for the games.
