From a film named 'Ship Safety -- A Story of Seven Sailors' starts. Door of projection room in a theater. Movie starts, views of British heavy Cruiser, HMS Andromeda, crippled and burning as a result of enemy strikes at sea. British Naval officers and men seated in the projection room, viewing movie and an instructor standing. In dramatized, periodic-authentic scenes, crew members board the HMS Andromeda and settle into living and working routines. Ship in sea. Men at work in engine room, man reads book entitled "No Orchids for Miss Handish" with an attractive woman in a tight dress pictured on the cover. Crews operate 4 inch guns and antiaircraft "pom pom" guns. Ship under attack by German bomber aircraft. Crewmen fight back with ship's guns.
