An F2H jet is set on a catapult. (It has number 57 painted on nose and XC on its tail.) Flight Deck Crew members surround the aircraft. Under deck crew direction, the nose of aircraft is raised to an elevated attitude. Deck crew clears away from the aircraft, launch officer signals, and the F2H-3B aircraft catapults from the ship's deck.
