Scenes of the captured German submarine U-505, as it arrives in Chicago, Illionois enroute to the Museum of Science and Industry. Officials and guests, board the U-505 from a small boat as it proceeds under tow. Among those boarding are Admiral Gallery, who, as a Captain, commanded the task force that captured the U-505 in 1944, The Admiral waves from the conning tower of the submarine. He is seen with three civilians (possibly members of the original boarding party). The submarine docks with many celebrants on board.

Air Force One (C-121 named Columbine II) aircraft with President and Mrs. Eisenhower aboard, lands at Blair County Airport, Pennsylvania. The Eisenhowers depart by cadillac automobile to the town of State College, Pennsylvania, where they attend the funeral of Helen Elsie Eakin Eisenhower, wife of the President's brother, Milton S. Eisenhower. Upon arrival, President and Mrs. Eisenhower enter St. Andrew's Episcopal Church,behind Milton Eisenhower and his son, Milton Jr.(Lieutenant in military uniform, with black armband) and his daughter, Helen Eisenhower. Pallbearers carry coffin into the church. Two Episcopal Ministers, following a crucifer, emerge from church, followed by pallbearers and coffin. Spectators watch from across the street as the coffin is placed in a hearse. Dr. Milton Eisenhower walks from the church, flanked by his son and daughter. President and Mrs. Eisenhower follow immediately behind them. They all enter the Presidential limousine and drive away, followed by other cars on the funeral procession.
