Two Soviet army officer's exchange salutes with two enlisted men manning a well camouflaged antiaircraft gun outdoors, during World War 2. The officers then proceed through thick underbrush to another camouflaged antiaircraft gun site. One officer looks through binoculars at a German Junkers 88 (Ju 88) bomber maneuvering high overhead. Deserting German soldier presents a safe conduct pass to Soviet soldiers during World War II
Film shows Soviet soldiers accompanying a deserting German soldier through woods, during World War 2. They bring him to a non-commissioned officer who examines his papers including one that had been distributed (probably air dropped) by Soviet forces to German forces on the ground. Written in German it translates to "Comrades, with this card, All German soldiers , who are on the side of the Red Army, are guaranteed a life of good treatment and return home after the war." A Russian translation of the safe conduct pass is then shown translated into Russian. Closeups of the German soldier defector being further interrogated as he stands and responds. He is then led off in a friendly way by the soviet soldiers.
Soviet soldiers recover wreckage of German warplane from a river during World War II
A soviet sailor places diving helmet on head of a Soviet diver who descends into water for a recovery operation in World War 2. Next, the engine of a wrecked German warplane is seen being raised from the river by a cable being pulled by numerous Soviet soldiers on a steep hillside, besides the water, Scene shifts away from shoreline to a pier jutting into the river, The pier contains a diving board and a tower (perhaps for lifeguards). Soviet military men are standing on the pier, observing the recovery efforts. Some are in Naval uniforms with White hats. DC-3 aircraft taxis in after landing in Moscow, Russia, during World War 2. . Czech and Yugoslav diplomats descend from the aircraft and are greeted by Soviet officials. The diplomats are there to present their credentials as permanent emissaries to the soviet Union. After greeting one another the group of Czech and Yugoslav representatives and their Soviet hosts depart the airfield in automobiles.

Soviet Home Guard Cossack Cavalry are seen mounted up to train during World War 2. They ride past a fence where several rural people wave to them, including one old woman. A Cossack contingent in Papaha (black Cossack hats) is put through their paces by their commander. He directs one of his troop to charge on horseback, brandishing his sword.
