World War I German flying ace, Ernst Udet, takes passengers for rides in a modified Fokker D.VII two-seater aircraft,with German markings, during a postwar aviation event at Kbely Airfield, near Prague, Czechoslovakia. Odet, in civilian clothes, stands nearby as two men help a U.S. Army officer, in uniform, don a bulky coverall to protect his clothing. Odet wears his own small flying cap rolled up atop his head, and holds out a helmet to the officer. Men are seen around another German airplane in the background.
