U.S. 82nd Armored Reconnaissance Battalion of the 2nd Armored Division parades in East Belgian town of Hasselt, led by 66th Armored Regiment military band. Flags of Belgium hang from windows of houses. Belgian spectators line the sidewalks. Road sign reads 'Hasselt'. Civilians on balcony display a large American flag. Two young Belgian women stand holding bouquets of flowers. Staff car arrives in town square. Brigadier General Issac White, Commanding General of the 2nd Armored Division, steps from the car, returns salute of uniformed City Burgomaster, and accepts the flowers from the Belgian women. General White climbs a stage erected in the square and greets Belgian civilian and military officials. The Burgomaster, Dr. Joseph Bollen reads a citation and presents a flag to General White, who carries it down to the street where he holds it for all to see. Quick glimpse of 2nd Armored Division patch on uniform. Belgian soldiers salute. Camera focuses on Children spectators. U.S troops salute.

Passengers jam a train at an open air railway platform in China. Many sit, together with their belongings, on roof of the train. Some persons on the station offer to sell food to occupants of the train. Change of scene shows Soviet Lieutenant General Vasily Chuikov, advisor to Chinese Generalissimo Chiang Kai-Shek, having an amicable conversation with a Chinese Major General and his aide in World War II.(The latter has injury to his nose.) Next, several Russian troops are seen standing guard in unkempt town square, containing a monument. They appear unsettled by the presence of the cinematographer. Building in background flies Soviet flag and has large picture of Stalin on it. Views are shown of a modern building with drive up ramp to entrance (airport terminal?) and then of a stylish train station displaying Chinese (KMT) and Soviet flags and pictures of Lenin and Stalin. ( Glimpse of a tall white monument with a Soviet T-34 tank on top, followed by another view of the train station.) Next a corner building in the city is seen with Armed Chinese guards protecting sacks of food supplies piled up next to it. A Chinese officer walks past the guards and into the building. View of car and pedestrians on a dusty city street. More views of the Chinese guards and foodstuffs. (Note 1: The images seen here are mixed in place and time, including 1941 and 1945..) Originating at Fort Ord the U.S. Army Filipino Infantry regiments moved their training to Camp Roberts and Hunter-Liggett, California during World War 2. Different scenes of life in garrison and in the field. Tents are lined up in "tent city." Commander of 1st Filipino Infantry Regiment, Colonel Robert H Offley with members of his staff in front of their Headquarters building. Regimental Band plays on the field at Camp Hunter-Liggett. Mountains are in the background. Headquarters of 2nd Filipino Infantry Regiment at Camp Cooke. Its Commander, Colonel Charles L. Clifford in a jeep.
