The American Army greets German troops. They celebrate the end of the war, shake hands, and share cigarettes. A German soldier lights up a cigarette for an American army soldier. American and German troops raise hands, smile, and applaud. An American soldier trades caps with a German soldier.
Victory in Europe Day celebrated in London, England towards the end of World War II. Welsh Guards, an infantry regiment of the British Army, parade in front of Buckingham Palace. A band of musicians also parade along with the Welsh Guards. People move around the Mall. People cheer and applaud as they move.

Wide, elevated view of city streets and buildings of Edinburgh, Scotland. Steel worker visits a Pub after the day's work. Men in the Mother Shipton Pub (possibly 1 Malden Road, Kentish Town, London NW5). Patrons drink beer and play darts. Bartender pours a cask ale from a tap. U.S. Air Force Non-Commissioned Officers seated at a table in the pub. One of them asks dart players if he can try. They assent and he throws several darts fairly skillfully, meeting with their approval. These scenes are followed by an Instructive narrative about the British political system accompanied by illustrated diagrams. Scenes include the floor of the House of Commons during session.

View from building overlooking Red Square shows about a dozen parallel lines of marchers carrying posters, banners, and flags. Some marchers release balloons that fly upwards. Scene shifts to nighttime. Numerous illuminated displays carry patriotic slogans and symbols as well as pictures of Stalin. Back to daytime, Soviet Marshal Kliment Voroshilov, is seen with 5 soviet medals on his overcoat. Cadre of women marchers in dark overcoats and berets. Joseph Stalin flanked by Lazar Kaganovich and Vyacheslav Molotov, reviewing the parade from Kremlin balcony. Mounted elements of artillery unit, pulling field pieces, ride past the reviewers. Next is seen a formation of T-26 light tanks. Visiting military officers from several nations salute as colors pass.
