Combined services color guard march into position at the retirement ceremony of General Andrew J. Goodpaster at a gymnasium in United States. Troop commanders representing Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard are seen. General Goodpaster accompanied by Secretary of Defense, James Schlesinger, Deputy Secretary of Defense William Clements, General George Brown, General David C. Jones, Admiral James Holloway, General Fredrick Weyand along with General Robert Cushman arrive and take positions in the review stand. General Goodpaster and Secretary Schlesinger troop the line and return to the review stand. Color guard marches to a position in front of the stand and General Goodpaster stands in front of the Color guard facing the stand. He saluted as the Color guard dipped colors. General Jones, Admiral Holloway and General Weyand, one by one are seen awarding medals to General Goodpaster.
