About 25 cyclists gather loosely at starting point of race, on stone street with trolley tracks in it. They ride downhill on a concrete highway, escorted by motorcycle police and several automobiles. At the finish line in the city, spectators line both sides of the course, set along edge of a main street. A trolley car sits in center of street, and cars fill the opposite lane from the race. (The cars have no rear license plates.) The motorcycle police lead two finalists to the finish line, racing neck-to-neck. A trophy is presented to the winner.

Film: Seconds For Survival. Actor Raymond Massey introduces film. Very small, 2-person sail boats on a bay. A teletype message is sent to affected East Coast stations, issuing small craft warnings due to approaching storm. Coast Guard station receives the message and dispatches patrol boat to warn boaters in the bay. They intercept the little sail boats and hail them with instructions to return to the harbor. The storm arrives bringing strong winds and waves at the waterfront.
Enactment of a robbery at The People's National Bank in a town in New Jersey. Interior of the bank shows banking activity. An actor plays the role of a robber and threatens a teller with a gun. The teller gives the robber money, while secretly pressing a button in the floor, with his shoe, to raise a silent alarm to the police. A patrol car responds promptly and Police officers catch the bank robber outside the bank.
