Mechanism of the air borne transmitter which emits radio energy and radar antennas being explained. Change is measured by the code wheels on antenna shaft. Range and missile actual position is also determined. The information is fed into computer system. Actual data is collected and compared with the fed data. The deviations are then calculated. Pitch yaw,steering orders and address codes are sent to missile. The missile borne equipment decode and send back its transformed tracking signals. The booster is separated and motor is ignited. Motor shuts as the desired velocity is attained and the payload is separated. The velocity data is calculated using moving bar charts and the concept of smoothing time being explained. Features incorporated to protect external jamming of the Command Guidance system includes power,antenna pattern,frequency ,code protection and blanking of receiver.

The composition of the Titan I missile operational squadron which consists of : three extensive underground launch complexes which are composed of three missile launchers and two antenna silos for the guidance radars. Concrete doors which open before launch. Cylindrical elevator platform lifts up the antennas. The three uplocks locks the position of the antennas. The uninterrupted performance of the antennas is insured by the provision of stand by antennas. During the check out operation the missile borne guided equipment is connected with the missile test set. The test set issues commands,measures performance and check proper response. Materials required for inserting targets into computers are supplied by the targeting package. Target tape, guidance program tape and digital simulation tape included in the launch control folder. It also includes 9 cards and launch control council labels. The target tape and guidance program tape are fed into computer om computer room to give desired trajectory for missiles. The information is stored in computer and is checked for accuracy of transfer. The cards are place in a reader. Which transmits information. Council labels are placed on the launch control council to identify targets stored in the computer. Using stored information and the digital simulation tape a close loop test is stimulated. The resulting computer commands are compared with the precalculated value stored on digital simulation tape. The Missile Combat Crew Commander sets on switches. Target is verified and target package identification label and target designation number are printed out. Targets are stored in guidance computers once targeting is completed. New targets can be substituted in the target library.
