As film begins, attendants riding atop elephants are seen from the rear as they parade along a the street of an American town. Front view of a circus wagon pulled by a team of horses and followed by numerous camels tethered behind it. A circus hand escorts a zebra and two other animals. Behind them are two automobiles. Next, local people are seen lined up to enter the fairgrounds where the circus tents are set up.
The first scene of the film shows a circus hand washing a dog outdoors in a metal wash tub. local people watch him. The next scene shows a worker hanging wash on lines set behind the circus tents where they are camping.
As film begins, camera focuses on a wooden octagonal house (possibly a small lighthouse) perched on a rock near a lake. Camera then pans across the rocky shore and continues across the lake without revealing a shoreline opposite the house.
Film begins showing two men alone, walking gingerly on snow covered frozen river. Next, the Upper Steel Arch Bridge is seen (also known as the Honeymoon Bridge) spanning the Niagara River between New York, U.S.A. and Ontario, Canada, at Niagara Falls. Mist rises all along the river and obscures the view at times. Some large industrial buildings, emitting smoke from their stacks, are visible high on a cliff overlooking the river. Film concludes as Camera focuses on Niagara Horseshoe falls with plumes of water and mist rising dramatically.
At beginning the film shows partially frozen Niagara River in snowy scene near Niagara Falls. The Honeymoon bridge seems to be in the background, but views are obscured by mist. Next is a view of the Canadian Niagara Power station overlooking the Niagara River, at Niagara Falls. Final view is of clouds billowing above Niagara Falls.
Film opens concentrating on sunset viewed as the sun drops below the horizon with hills surrounding. Scene shifts to a river and a steam excursion boat plying its way along the river toward the camera. The boat blows its whistle emiting an extended burst of steam into the air.
