Launching of first liquid fuel rocket on a Staten Island New York beach in 1933. U.S. rocket experimenters including George Edward Pendray launch the first liquid fuel missile. They prepare for launching of the rocket and fill fuel of rocket which is powered with gasoline and liquid oxygen. Missile being launched and its fuel tank explodes due to over heating. Rocket crashes down on beach. Experimenters stand with pieces of the broken rocket. From a November 10, 1958 newsreel recounting events 25 years earlier.

Jewish war veterans in Atlantic City, New Jersey. People walk along the Atlantic City boardwalk as they hold American flags. War veterans (mostly from World War I) and women march during a procession. The veterans march out onto the beach, and then back onto the boardwalk. The veterans, led by a veteran Civil War union soldier, gather in front of the Stanley Theater (later the Roxy Theater) on the Boardwalk at Kentucky Avenue. The Stanley Theater marquee is advertising the Warner Brothers Pictures show, "Gold Diggers of 1933. 200 girls. 50 stars." The Civil War veteran is recognized first, and presented with a U.S. flag by Jack Warner of the Warner brothers. The Civil War veteran shakes hands with a young boy who wears a cap bearing the star of David.

Vessel in trouble is sighted and alarm bell sounded on shore of Lake Michigan near Muskegon, Michigan. Men of U.S. Coast Guard Life Saving Station No 269, Muskegon, Michigan, roll Breeches buoy equipment from the station and rush to shore to set it up. Line thrown over vessel using a Lyle Gun. Lines anchored deep in sand. Breeches buoy sent out to vessel and a sailor passenger is brought to shore. Equipment returned to shelter. A light house and beach patrol framed by a U.S. Coast Guard life preserver.
